MY STORY

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Meg graduated with a Chemistry/ Biology degree from UNCC and spent time teaching high school after graduating.

Due to some of her own health challenges, Meg embarked on the journey of understanding how the brain, body and energetic systems work on a deeper level. She utilized homeopathics, the Emotion Code/Body Code as well as energy work techniques from other practitioners to help her heal.

HERDMANSHIP UNIVERSITY

In 2021, Meg released her online course, The Herdmanship University, where she is teaching others how to use the healing power of horses in sessions and how to keep a healthy herd. She is continuing to develop those modules and will certainly include energetic healing as part of the curriculum.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Meg is a professional horse trainer/equine manager and has extensive background in dressage, equine assisted therapies and natural horsemanship.

She opened Bit of Hope Ranch in 2007 with a mission to partner rescued horses with people that needed counseling or physical therapy. Today, she manages a staff of over 12 professional counselors/ equine professionals and has helped thousands of people using equine assisted therapies.

Meg uses holistic methods to help rehab the horses that come to the farm as well as to help them maintain emotional health. She uses the Masterston Method as well as her own energy healing protocols to facilitate health in her herd.

ENERGY WORK EDUCATION

Meg earned her license as a professional MACE practitioner. She has extended her education to include MEM Specialized Procedures, including being certified in MEM Surrogacy. This revolutionary program was founded by John Mace in Australia and is now moving around the world. Meg is the first North Carolina practitioner as well as the 6th in the USA.

Meg also uses Custom Homeopathics and the AO Scan that utilize muscle testing to track down issues in the body/belief systems. These modalities search for physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and genetic dysfunctions. She uses the guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead her in sessions as He is the ultimate healer. Her sessions will often include prayer or declarations.

HOLISTIC PURSUITS

Meg taught high school immediately after college and spent her free time obtaining certifications for group exercise/ health/nutrition programs. She also worked for an innovative chiropractor where she learned holistic health care and approaches to healing. She was an X-ray tech and taught spinal care classes for clients after hours. She and her team presented at Chiropractic conventions about the dangers of “leaky gut” before it was widely accepted.

Meg began her journey of learning about chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese herbs when her own dressage horse, Naya, was not responding to traditional treatment. Since then she has combined her understanding of traditional horse—keeping with other holistic approaches.

Meg’s ‘herd” consists of her husband, Matt, and their three grown children (plus their families). She cares for their personal animals, breeds Flemish Giant Rabbits and oversees the Ranch’s herds. She is madly in love with Jesus Christ and is eager to allow Him to work through her hands and heart.
